Youth 08: Recap

Youth '08 was a 3-day event covering the areas of careers, entrepreneurship, music, IT and such other stuff that are supposedly to be of interest to those from 18 to 30 years of age. So from the word go, I fall outside the demographic of young people that was being targeted. That said, it was in more ways than one, an event sanitised by corporate sponsorship and government endorsement. And it was tough if you were selling anything priced above RM$30 (US$9), as I was.

Corporate-sponsored graffiti. This would eventually morph into something for the brand with 3 stripes. :-(


Here's my table. Behind me happened to be some folks I met before...


I met Helen (flo3tic)[2nd from left] who has her own line of handmade polymer clay jewellery and Chun Woei (urban cr3atures) [3rd from left] at the figure eight event end of last year. I had bought one of Woei's creatures for my wife for X'mas.


Luk (3rd from left) and his team at Futurewave were next to me. Web designers now trying their hand at toy design and retail.
