Update: There will be no further posts on blogger. Please go to 23psi.com.After a long, long wait, the cuerno de chivo (ak-47) tees were finally delivered today. The online store isn't ready yet and won't be until I've the rest of the designs printed. So sales in earnest will not begin until then (at least for international orders). But drop me a line at 23psi.com@gmail.com if you're interested in owning one at this point in time, wherever you may be.

Sjors of shirtlog first posted this awesome design by Hecklewood. I love it. It's trippy. Feels as if I could stare at it for hours, just like this design on Joy Division's tee which is the artwork of their album 'Unknown Pleasures'.

Got hold of this two days ago. It's an awesome book laying out the visual history of the band t-shirt. My only complaint? It's too brief. What's great though is that it covers a good deal of the early days showing Elvis Presley's Heartbreak Hotel (1956) and The Beatles' Abbey Road (1969). I also saw a tee which I owned many many years ago but in white, the Rolling Stones' Steel Wheels (p.37). Total 240 pages including an index of the featured bands which is handy for quick reference.

Just want to let everyone who reads this blog know that I'm still at it, pushing this along as much as I can. We think we're in control most of the time, but the truth is we aren't, and so much of what we do depends on timing and the other people we have to work with.
But it's been a particularly difficult time since my mum was diagnosed with cancer about a week ago, so it has been especially tough keeping things moving along. I'm now occupied most of the day with looking after my 2 boys (my wife's the one with the real job, thanks dear!) and it's near impossible to get productive creatively at 11pm (after visiting mum and when everyone's asleep) but it looks like I've no choice for now.

This is the (first) design which I sent to the printer. Everything else has been put on hold until I see the finished product for this. Just can't bring myself to commit on the other designs until I have the tee in my hands and on my back. If cut, stitch and print quality are up to scratch, then everything else gets the green light. So until then, I'll be keeping my head down with this and my hopes up for mum.

Here's what it will look like on a tee. That said, I'm not entirely happy with the size and positioning of the design. I feel it needs to sit a little higher, and possibly be marginally larger. This will be finalised after the production sample is done.

Of the two AK-47 designs featured in my earlier post only this will go into print in this colourway or something close to it. On this note, if all goes well with the production sample (and assuming there's no further delay), I will be previewing the other designs soon.

For that matter are there any other designs? Is 23PSI for real?
Yes and yes. In fact there are another 4 designs bringing it to a grand total of 5 including the one on which the production sample will be based. If everything is alright with that, then the remaining 4 will go into production. Currently, they're somewhere between completion and FA. So, that means I've a little more time to work on them if necessary.

Political blogs make the governments of some countries uneasy. This is something for the Alliance of Bloggers in my neck of the woods. It seems they are getting up the Government's arse, which of course is a good thing!

AK-47. When you absolutely, positively got to kill every motherfucker in the room. Accept no substitutes.
Beyond pop culture (FYI, Ice-T has one), Osama cradles one in his videos and I'm pretty darn sure he will brandishing (and using one) if and when the Yanks find him. The Hezbollah has one on its flag. Charles Taylor in

Two designs inspired by the world's most widely traded weapon.
Morpheme (Chinese) denoting no, in the negative. Chosen purely for its graphic value and nothing else. Current colour is a stock standard CMYK Red. Leaning towards black for the FA.
